Hello everyone,
I wanted to share something really cool with you all.
Oracle currently has a free tier trial available, allowing you to create a VPS with 64GB of RAM. What's interesting is that you can also utilize swap memory with a 1TB hard drive, enabling the repeater to operate at over 10EHZ. The only drawback is that it takes quite a while to load.
You can access the free trial through this link. Please note that the trial is not permanent, and the VPS can only be used temporarily. However, I have been running it all day for two days now without any issues or disconnections.
Setting up the Ubuntu desktop is not as straightforward, but you can find a helpful video tutorial here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=onjz8AYMqwo. Remember to select Ubuntu as the VPS shape during the setup process.
Here are some steps to guide you through the VPS setup:
1) Register for the free Oracle trial here: www.oracle.com/uk/cloud/free/.
2 ) Once registered, click on the "Instances Compute" option.
3) Select "Create Instance."
4) Under "Image and Shape," choose "Change Image."
5) Select the desired image (I used Ubuntu version 18.04 for a desktop screen and RDP connection).
6) Click on "Change Shape" and choose "Ampere A1 Flex." Set the RAM to 64GB and the CPU cores to 10.
7) Under "Networking," click on "Create a new virtual network cloud" and select "Create new public subnet" under "Subnet."
8) In "Boot Volume," choose "Specify a custom boot size" if you want to use swap.
Remember to download the private key or generate one via PuttySSH, and save it as you'll need it for the connection.
Adjust the boot size according to your swap requirements. It can go up to 32TB, but please note that the loading time significantly increases with larger sizes.
Now that the VPS is created, you can access it via SSH.
To set up the Ubuntu desktop, you can follow this tutorial: www.youtube.com/watch?v=onjz8AYMqwo
You can also find a video tutorial on how to create the VPS here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=onjz8AYMqwo. Although the video mentions 24GB of RAM, I was able to create a VPS with 64GB, so it seems they have updated the offering to a higher amount.
Using the intention repeater on Ubuntu desktop is much easier. You can simply compile the .cpp file into an executable and run it on the VPS.
I'm always happy to help so let me know if you guys need additional support on setting it up.
I hope this helps!
P.S. Thank you so much Antrho teacher for this amazing software and the holo-stones, been enjoying it so much, its such a blessing to have such an amazing thing from an amazing person. Thank you
