How do others here meditate? I can go one of several ways. I can shift energies while meditating. I can focus on nothing and allow thoughts to drift by. I can do a mindfulness meditation where I focus on the feeling of my body and surrounding sounds. I can do a metta meditation where I focus on loving kindness. Sometimes I visualize golden light raining down on me. Sometimes I send love out into the world.
But mostly I focus on nothing (maybe the black behind my closed eyes) and allow thoughts to drift by.
How far have you gotten in meditation?
I'm not seeking enlightenment. I'm seeking ascension.
I sometimes meditate on angels to raise my vibration as well.

I regularly use visualization techniques while meditating to help with grounding and pain relief. One of my favorites is visualizing myself walking on a beach while being in contact with sand and water. This helps me feel more connected to the present moment. For headaches, I visualize white light flowing to the areas of discomfort. Usually, the headache is gone in about 5 minutes. To ease physical pain, I imagine a powerful bubble of energy vibrating in the center of my brain, which triggers an endorphin response. This method can also improve my mood. When I am feeling sick, I visualize my "ideal self" in perfect health, replacing and overlaying my "sick self", and I convince myself that I'm already healed. This method gives me more strength and vitality. I combine it with breathing exercices to accumulate lots of oxygen. To increase blood flow, I imagine feeling heat throughout my body. This method can also induce relaxation.
One of the most profound meditative experiences I've had was when I listened to "Quasi Crystal From Khatyrka Meteorite" by Dream Seeds (Sapien Medicine), and fell asleep with it on loop. When I woke up, I felt disconnected from my physical body. I felt like I was floating in a bright void and connected to the whole. I wasn't able to think or to hear myself think, I was only consciousness. It was an incredibly regenerative sleep, and I've never been able to replicate this experience.

I do Reiki on myself, or imagine an angel in my field to help with pain. It helps with headaches to a degree, but sometimes I still take chewable aspirin. Those are good techniques. The most profound meditation I had was seeing a golden light (in a golden realm) and feeling ineffable bliss. I've only had that a couple of times.
Of course I imagine anthros at times. When I feel inspired, I sometimes imagine a higher dimensional anthro raising my vibration.
Lately I've been doing some trauma work. Working to heal the fear.

Do you feel a difference between angels and anthros energy?
I avoid imagining angels in my visualization exercises because I am uncertain about the alignment of their energy with my needs. Also I'm not certain if the angel I summon is from the true light or if it's an entity pretending to be an angel.

I intend to call on the specific angel that can best serve my needs. Anthro feels more inspiring/exciting. Angel feels more like pure love/healing. Then there are anthro angels who are especially healing to me.
There can be bad anthros too. So I usually connect with the one I resonate with the most. It's been mostly good.
My former lover Rufus used to be a demon, and then he shifted. I tried to love him unconditionally.
I'm feeling a bliss now, and working on my traumas, and working to deepen the bliss.
I also sometimes work with my higher self. My divine inner self.

I have recently focused on my breathing during meditation. I've heard that is a good way to do it. When thoughts come in, I try not to follow them. Even 23 years of meditating, I am not that advanced of a meditator. Because my technique has been rather sub-par. I slouch during meditation, and I fall asleep at times. I've never really gotten that deep. I'm looking to finding the ineffable bliss I once felt (or twice).
I also ask the Arcturians to work through me to help humanity at times. They like to be of service in that way.
