I keep getting a virus check alert for dev.intentionrepeater.com through chrome.exe. What's the deal? Why is the intention repeater using chrome and what extension is it using (so I can disable it)?

Probably the SSL certificate hasn't been renewed.
We aren't using that subdomain anymore either.

There's nothing in dev.intentionrepeater.com anymore. No reason to visit it.

I'm not trying to visit it - something on my pc is trying to visit it every time I start Chrome, but I can't tell what it is.

First, try changing your homepage. You can google for: how to change homepage in Chrome.
If that doesn't work, Try uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome.
If that doesn't work, see if you have a virus using a scanner like BitDefender.
I just had that as a copy of my website that would bypass the filter, so people could download files.

BitDefender blocks it, but only lists the app as "Chrome.exe", and not an other file or location. My homepage isn't set to this site, but I do have a couple of pinned tabs to various conversations - could that be it?

You could try unpinning the tabs and closing all your tabs and see if that helps.

You could try unpinning the tabs and closing all your tabs and see if that helps. I tried that and it worked like a charm! Interestingly enough, I favorited those tabs once I unpinned them, and now when I open them individually, I get no error from BitDefender. I've never seen anything like it. |
