The programs are not interesting to me, they are copies of the old Repeater programs (Intention Repeater Original and Repeater WAV) and I do not know what modification has been done, but whatever it is, I think the new tools we have from AnthroHeart will be much more effective (MAX and Converter). The times that appear in the readme are in the hours. This notes the stark difference between then and now, when the Repeater program was slooooow and it took ages to do simple stuff we now do quickly. It was all because of Python being a slow, slow language. Did you know its interpreter takes 1 whole second to start up in many computers? That's like millions of years in computer time, as computers run in the nanosecond scale, which is far smaller than 1 second. I think the best the Python version could do was 100 million per second. Now we do quadrillions and quintillions. |

It seems we've reached a point where any speed is a good speed really.
1 PHz (quadrillion) is perfectly sufficient for most I guess, and to me has little difference to quintillion (EHz)
